Program Manager

Short Description:
Direct purchasing, sourcing, customer service, and other contract compliance activities at all customer site programs.

Major Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate purchasing, customer service, vendor relationships, and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by Bruckner and the program contract. Confer with customers to implement program and evaluate areas for improvements and expanded services. Support program through direct activities, including maintaining a database, training end users on process systems, providing account coverage, and purchasing requested commodities and services. Hire, direct and coordinate assigned staff. Establish quality assurance initiatives and customer service enhancement activities. Monitor program and prepare monthly reports on costs, performance and service quality, and initiate improvements. Utilize and maintain available information systems to initiate and maintain program goals and objectives. Coordinate vendor information sharing activities with the customer, including new product launches, value added services, and cost savings initiatives.

Customer Service / Buyer

Short Description:
Review customer requests, research potential suppliers and terms, initiate purchase orders, expedite vendor shipments, supply customers with shipment information and record information into computer for database.

Major Responsibilities:
Receive orders for purchase, discontinuance, or change in service. Enter data on activities and maintain database. Review requester’s information and indentify potential sources and fulfillment issues. Communicate with vendors and customers. Expedite shipments and resolve delivery and sourcing problems. Resolve complaints concerning billing or service rendered. On site staff routinely visits customers to identify needs, resolve problems and keep vendors and customers informed.

Buyer / Tooling Coordinator

Short Description:
Coordinate activities of engineering, tool design, purchasing, and other departments, to facilitate procurement of tooling.

Major Responsibilities:
Evaluate tooling orders received from production engineering department to determine where to source from outside vendors. Examine blueprints to determine tool requirements and special materials or items to be ordered. Prepare and submit requisitions for items to be purchased. Contact requester, purchasing, receiving, or other personnel to follow up on procurement or production activities and to expedite movement of tools between departments or vendors. Maintain computerized database of tooling procurement, status, and disposition information. Examine tools and tool record to determine disposition of tools. Process requests for tool repair. Coordinate information sharing activities between suppliers, potential suppliers and customers, including new product information and cost savings initiatives. Maintain utilization data.
